What is Remedial Massage?
It focuses on the parts of the body that require rehabilitiation. Once I understand the issues that may be causing you the pain or discomfort, I will then perform targeted treatment to that area. The pressure unlike deep tissue massage will vary depending on what I feel is best for that specific issue and your comfort. Remedial Massage is done with a goal in mind and usually done over a series of sessions. Throughout these sessions I will constantly be re-assessing for improvements or new issues and this will allow me to adjust my treatment as need be, to aide you to recover as best as possible.
What is Myofascial Cupping?
This technique focuses on the fascia – the spider web-like soft tissue component of the connective tissue system that covers the entire body, wrapping around muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, organs, nerves and blood vessels.
When injured or overused through poor postural habits, repetitive strains etc, adhesions can form in this network of soft tissue, causing it to lose its flexibility and ‘bundle up’, becoming tight and restrictive. Myofascial cupping helps to lift and separate the fascia, reducing adhesions. Plastic cups and vacuum suction are used in myofascial cupping to lift the skin inside the cups. The cups are placed on areas of the body that your therapist has identified as being able to benefit from the treatment. The cups do not cause pain, however, bruising may occur as the therapy helps to bring nutrient-rich blood to the injured area.

About Amy
I am originally from a small country town in the Central Wheatbelt called Beacon. I have been in Perth since I graduated high school, started waitressing then working in schools and finally found my way to massage.
I finished my Diploma of Remedial Massage in December 2013 and started working in a clinic in early 2014. By the end of that year I landed a job with the West Coast Eagles and I am still currently working with them, I also work with the WACA. I have recently (April 2019) started working from home so I can be more flexible when it comes to my clients.
I really enjoy being a Remedial Massage Therapist, as it has given me many opportunities to meet, help and work with many different people.
